Grassroots-Gaa Weekend News

By  |

After, what could best be described as a hectic October and early November, we gave ourselves a week off after the Senior Football Championship final.

But fear not. With Cuala having advanced to the Leinster hurling final, and Vincent’s to the football semi-final, without much fuss, respectively, we’re turning our attention, not just to the Leinster Club Championships, but even further outside the Pale!

Who couldn’t be inspired by the tale of Slaughtneil, the rural Derry club, who are on the quest of a double double, and maybe a double triple, if you can get your head around that. We’ve given a thorough statistical analysis of their Ulster football semi-final, and looked at how it bodes for their football final.

And with the GaaProstats program finally ready, we have the honour of testing out the final version, so expect a Stats-Attack overdrive on the provincial finals over the coming days.

But fear not, even on the off season, we’ve kept a bit of space for the Dublin club scene. Keep an eye out as we’ll shortly be announcing our shortlist for the Grassroots-Gaa club footballer of the year, as well team of the year.
